Mountaineers Climb High: West Virginia Upsets Cincinnati on the Road

The West Virginia Mountaineers defeated the Cincinnati Bearcats 31–21 on Saturday, ending a three-game losing run. West Virginia’s offense found its explosiveness again in an exciting road performance, and the defense put on a focused and disciplined show.  The Mountaineers’ season is revitalized by this victory, which also keeps their aspirations of making the playoffs alive.

Mountaineers Win Thanks to an Offensive Explosion

With a balanced assault and an amazing 437 total yards, West Virginia’s offense came to life. The driving force was quarterback Garrett Greene, who showed off his dual-threat skills with 243 throwing yards and two touchdowns through the air in addition to 75 rushing yards and a touchdown.  Greene had time and space to create plays because to the offensive line’s outstanding protection.
