Even the most beautiful people in Hollywood can get some friendly jabs from their children. Celebrity Eric Dane from “Euphoria” recently revealed a hilarious anecdote about his 12-year-old daughter’s response to seeing him on “Grey’s Anatomy.”
A Daughter’s Careless Question
In a Variety interview, Dane recalled how, after learning about his legendary role as Dr. Mark Sloan, aka McSteamy, his daughter Billie Beatrice Dane had a serious question for him. “My 12-year-old daughter started watching the show a few years ago, and she looked at me and asked, ‘Dad, where did your six-pack go?”
Known for his endearing appearance and unquestionable on-screen persona, Dane laughed heartily at his daughter’s direct assessment. She was, he acknowledged, “dead serious” and not making any jokes.
Is “McSteamy” Making a Reunion?
Though his abs may not be as noticeable as they were in his “Grey’s Anatomy” days, Dane isn’t discounting a possible return. “It could come back with a bit more effort,” he laughed. “I should use my climber more often, but I don’t use it as much at home. I will return to that. It appears that he may have worked out more as a result of his daughter’s remark.
A Family of “Grey’s Anatomy”
Dane has already expressed his girls’ affection for the popular medical drama. Billie and her younger sister, Georgia Geraldine Dane, are ardent viewers of “Live with Kelly and Mark,” as he disclosed in a June episode. They have seen “every episode” of the show.

It’s interesting to note that, save from a brief cameo in 2021, Dane hasn’t watched “Grey’s Anatomy” since leaving the show in 2012. He clarified that rather than watching and analyzing the show, he would rather treasure the memories of his time there. “I was there when it all happened, so I didn’t feel the need to watch it,” he said.

Even though he doesn’t watch the show anymore, Dane has positive memories of his time there and emphasizes the close bond among the cast members. “I remember going to the set and thinking, ‘I enjoy spending time with these people,'” he said.
