The comedian’s daughter agrees with critics that the blockbuster horror movie’s sequel is bad.
The well-known comedian and actor Bill Hader is well-known for his diverse performances in a wide range of motion pictures and television series. But it appears that not everyone, even his daughter, is thrilled by his efforts. Hader recently disclosed in an interview that his daughter did not enjoy his role in the horror movie “It Chapter 2.”
Hader, who portrayed the movie’s adult Richie Tozier, revealed that his daughter had a negative opinion of the film and that she liked the previous one more. It’s interesting to see that she shares the views of many critics who thought the sequel was inferior to the first.
In an interview on “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” Hader revealed, “My daughter was like, ‘Yeah, the first one was better.'” He continued by saying that, in general, his kids don’t want to watch him in films, particularly ones that have adult themes or content.
The 2019 release, “It Chapter 2,” was the follow-up to the 2017 smash hit horror movie “It.” The same-titled Stephen King novel served as the inspiration for both movies. The first movie was a huge commercial and critical success, but the second movie had mixed reviews.
“It” has an 85% reviewer approval rating on the well-known review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, whereas “It Chapter 2” comes in last with a 62% rating. This disparity in critical reception suggests that Hader’s daughter is not alone in her assessment of the film.
